This is the third book in the Women of the Otherworld series. I love paranormal books, and Kelley Armstrong did not disappoint. The first two books in the series revolve around Elena, a female werewolf. In the last book, Stolen, we are introduced to Paige, a coven witch, who Dime Store Magic revolves around.
In Stolen, someone was kidnapping supernatural beings. Elena runs into Savannah, who's mother is a witch and father is a sorceror. Paige ends up taking her in to try and get her into her coven. And Leah, a very powerful half demon wants Savannah for herself because she is so powerful.
Dime Store Magic starts off with Paige and Savannah living there lives. Savannah still hasn't been accepted into the coven. You find out that Leah approached Savannah's father, a very powerful sorceror about trying to gain custody of his daughter. Paige finds herself under major public scrutiny when Leah starts setting her up. The custody battle starts to get a little more interesting when Paige hires a sorceror lawyer, Lucas.
The pressure on Leah for Savannah increases when Savannah gets her period for the first time. On the eighth day, a ceremony must be performed in order for Savannah to truly pick a side in the witch world.
As soon as Lucas enters into the plot, you can tell something was going to happen between him and Paige. I just wasn't expecting it to take so long.
I was very satisfied with the ending. I think Armstrong did an excellent job with the plot and the development of the characters. I would definitely recommend it, and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would give it
